Pastor Kumuyi :God will work wonders in Nigeria.

The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi , on Sunday urged Africans to believe in God and be united in love so as to overcome the seemingly failure in the country.

He said because all nations serve one God, we should have one goal, vision and direction just like the apostles of the early church who were not divided, but stayed true to each other in faith.

Kunmuyi spoke during the Church two-day special mid-year celebration service held at its Conference Centre on Kilometre 42, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.

The theme of the service is: “When Mountains Move.”

“We are not alone. God’s power resides in us as we all belong to God as members of His body that cannot be broken. God is faithful in his promise of making us priests and king in his kingdom. We are working together with Him as the tree and humans as the branches,” he said

How to Live the Life of Christ

If you take a course on writing or attend a writer’s conference, you’ll likely hear the phrase, “Show, don’t tell.” In other words, “show” your readers what is happening, don’t just tell them. Don’t tell readers what you did; describe doing it.
One of the reasons we tend to tell rather than show is that it’s easier and faster. Showing how to do something requires time and effort. In teaching, it’s easier to tell students what’s wrong with what they did than to show them how to do it right. The latter, however, is more effective.
For thousands of years, the Jewish people had only the law telling them what to do and what not to do. But then came Jesus Christ, who showed them how to live the life God had been telling them about all along. Jesus didn’t just say, “Be humble”; He “humbled Himself” (Phil. 2:8). He didn’t just say, “Forgive others”; He forgave us (Col. 3:13). He didn’t just say, “Love God and your neighbors”; He demonstrated love by His actions (John 15:12).
Christ’s perfect example of love shows how great God’s love is for us and how we are to show His love to others.

God's Plan for Our Difficulities.

. . . that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us . . . —John 17:21

If you are going through a time of isolation, seemingly all alone, read John 17 . It will explain exactly why you are where you are— because Jesus has prayed that you “may be one” with the Father as He is. Are you helping God to answer that prayer, or do you have some other goal for your life? Since you became a disciple, you cannot be as independent as you used to be.
God reveals in John 17 that His purpose is not just to answer our prayers, but that through prayer we might come to discern His mind. Yet there is one prayer which God must answer, and that is the prayer of Jesus— “. . . that they may be one just as We are one . . .” (John 17:22). Are we as close to Jesus Christ as that?
God is not concerned about our plans; He doesn’t ask, “Do you want to go through this loss of a loved one, this difficulty, or this defeat?” No, He allows these things for His own purpose. The things we are going through are either making us sweeter, better, and nobler men and women, or they are making us more critical and fault-finding, and more insistent on our own way. The things that happen either make us evil, or they make us more saintly, depending entirely on our relationship with God and its level of intimacy. If we will pray, regarding our own lives, “Your will be done” (Matthew 26:42), then we will be encouraged and comforted by John 17, knowing that our Father is working according to His own wisdom, accomplishing what is best. When we understand God’s purpose, we will not become small-minded and cynical. Jesus prayed nothing less for us than absolute oneness with Himself, just as He was one with the Father. Some of us are far from this oneness; yet God will not leave us alone until we are one with Him— because Jesus prayed, “. . . that they all may be one . . . .”

God's Strong Power

My friend Joann had a strong desire to become a concert pianist and to travel and perform as either a soloist or as a piano accompanist. While majoring in piano performance in college, she developed tendinitis in her right arm, and it became too weak to perform the solo recital that was required. She graduated with a degree in music history and literature instead.
She knew Jesus as her Savior, but she had been rebelling against Him for several years. Then through further difficult circumstances, she sensed the Lord reaching out to her, and she turned back to Him. Eventually her arm grew stronger, and her dream of traveling and performing came about. She says, “Now I could play to God’s glory instead of my own. His outstretched arm restored my spiritual life and the strength in my arm to enable me to serve Him with the gift He gave me.”
The Lord promised Moses that His outstretched arm would rescue the Israelites from bondage in Egypt (Ex. 6:6). He kept that promise even though His often-rebellious people doubted (14:30-31). God’s mighty arm is outstretched for us as well. No matter the outcome of our situation, He can be trusted to bring about His will for each of His children. We can depend on God’s strong arm.

Answering the call of God for your Life.

The Bible is full of people who God called out of obscurity, less than desirable backgrounds, trained them, filled them with His spirit and thrust them into the deep end to perform His works and do His bidding. From Noah, Nehemiah, Esther, Joseph, Moses, Samuel to Peter, Paul, John then in this day and age, you and me. Many struggle to identify whether God has called them or not. If so they cannot ascertain the area of their calling. As a friend I am here to help you with some information to help you comprehend. I answer six critical questions.

1. What does it mean to be called by God?
To be called by God is to be singled out to perform a specific assignment at a specific time. In the general sense of the word most people refer to those in full - time ministry of the gospel as having the call of God upon their lives, but I put it to you that everyone has a specific call of God in a specific sphere or domain. Sometimes God will allow you to function in a certain area yet that may not be the full - time place of calling for you. Just because you do not stand in the pulpit on Sunday doesn't mean you don't have a divine assignment in the market place where you must show forth His glory by occupying and dominating that domain on behalf of the Kingdom of God.

2. How can you be sure that it is Him and not your own imagination running away with you?
A relationship with God is not a one - sided affair where you do all the talking to Him and He just does as He pleases without telling you what's on His mind. He is always speaking in various ways. There are things He has already said and they are things that He is saying and those that He will say. The trained ear that is trained by habitation in His presence and tuning into the frequency of the Holy Spirit that will hear His voice will discern and not despise what He says through his word and His pastors and prophets. Your calling is already there and it is your responsibility to find out what it is.

3. What does God call people to do?
Jonah was called to go and tell the people of Nineveh to repent, Solomon was called to build the temple, Moses was called to deliver the Children of Israel and Samson was called to deliver the children of Israel from the tyranny of the Philistines. Joseph's calling led him to Egypt via the vehicle of slavery. His being sold into bondage led to the salvation of nations as he became P rime Minister of Egypt and commanded the resources of Egypt to feed the world which was in famine. God calls people into a plethora of assignments, your calling maybe in that job you despise. It may the path that leads you to your true place.

4. What happens when you resist God's call?
God does not call you because he has run out of resources. It is your privilege and honor to serve Him. Jonah tried to run away and learned the hard way about obedience by spending three days and three nights in the belly of a fish. When you choose to disobey God's call and destiny for your life you will wander on the earth, succeed at the wrong thing and still be dissatisfied.

5.Why would He call you and not another?
I do not think it's a case of preferring you over another person, but I am of the mind that we all have our portion and part to play in His Kingdom. He is a just God, doesn't treat everyone the same way. Because He is aware of that which He placed inside you He will use you for a specific purpose which may be different from that of the next person. Some are called to be apostles, some pastors, some evangelists, and some business people. We are not all the same and do no have to be. You may wear the same color dress as your friend and do everything together but that doesn't mean you will end up in the same place.

The Lord and His Prayer

Lord's Prayer is a basic prayer in Christianity. It's simple, yet it's so powerful. It's only consist a few sentences. Even though it's a short prayer, it contains all we need and what should we say in our prayer. We don't have to pray in a long prayer, since GOD knows what we need, even before we say it.
So, how should we pray? Just follow our Leader. He has given us His lead in Lord's Prayer. There are five parts in The Lords Prayer that we should remember when we pray:
a. Praising (Matthew 6: 9)
We must praise His Name in our pray. This is the first thing we must to do when we praying. We praise Him because He deserves it. Praise the Lord is the main goal in our worship to Him. Don't even forget it.
b. Confession (Matthew 6:10)
We confess He is Omnipotent and He has the rights to our life. He can do whatever He want, because He have the entire world and Heaven. We surrender our life to His decisions, include our prayer.
c. Demand (Matthew 6: 11)
What should we demand or ask to Him in our prayer? Something we want or something we really need? Jesus itself has taught us to asking what we really need.

5 Things We Should Pray For in 2011!

As 2010 has come to an end, we celebrate another year that God has given us. Some of us struggled a great deal in 2010. We lost jobs, homes, cars, savings and 401k accounts. Because of these losses, we have become sad, depressed and faithless. Even as Christians, we may have stopped praying to God because we think he has betrayed us. But God has never left us or betrayed us, because he loves us unconditionally. God also asks us to pray without ceasing, which means we should be in constant communication with Him - in good times and bad. We may not understand why these things are happening, but now that 2011 is here, what should we be praying for in the coming year?

1. Pray for wisdom. In the book of 1 Kings 3:9-15, Solomon was David's son, who was a man of God's own heart. When Solomon became king, God was pleased because he built a temple for him and continued to follow his laws. God came to Solomon in a dream and told him to ask for whatever he wanted. Instead of Solomon asking for riches and honor, he asked for a discerning heart to govern his people and to distinguish between right and wrong. God was so pleased with Solomon's request, that he granted him great wisdom, as well as riches and honor, even though he didn't ask for it. Solomon's story gives us a great example of wisdom, because we need to recognize what's right and wrong in our lives. And by doing so, when we are doing wrong, we can pray to God to get our lives back on track. God can also give us wisdom when reading his word. Once we receive wisdom, we receive understanding. When Jesus came to save us, he gave us the knowledge of truth. And that truth can only come from believing in the Son of God. Psalm 119:97-100 says, "Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts." When we read God's word and follow his law, we will have better insight in our lives and our families lives as well.

2. Pray to overcome demonic barriers. Satan is a very powerful spirit. He was created as the most beautiful angel of them all. He was so beautiful and full of himself, that he wanted to be God. And he convinced other angels to follow him and become his demons. We all know that God cast him and his demons out of heaven and gave him permission to roam this world. And because of this, he seeks to devour God's people. Satan is busy doing his evil deeds, everyday - all day. He's even using these hard, economic times to continue to do so. His goal is to convince us that we need the material possessions that we have and wants us to destroy ourselves and others if we lose them. But Satan is a liar and the biggest manipulator! Ephesians 6:10-18 says, "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

In Genesis 3:1-6, Satan persuaded Eve to eat fruit from the tree of knowledge so she and Adam would be like God, knowing good and evil and gaining wisdom. After this act of great temptation, sin entered the world. Jesus said to his disciples in Luke 17:1 that, "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come." Jesus lets us know that we are going to be tempted, but to be careful and not tempt others to follow us and sin as well. We are to also be careful in being tempted away from God. By worshipping idols, such as: money, cars, houses, jobs, people, etc, these things can pull us away from God and focus all of our attentions on seeking these worldly possessions. God already promised us that he would take care of our needs, so if we put Him first in our lives, these things we will have. Another big temptation we as humans face are temptations of the flesh and/or adultery. God warns us against this, because it can or will destroy families.

4. Pray to strengthen others spiritually. We all go through trials and tribulations. Some are worse than others. When bad times happen, we should build on our faith in God who strengthens us even more. In order for us to give strength spiritually to others, we must have strength ourselves.

5.Pray God's will to be done on earth. As stated before, Satan's job is for us to do his will, not God's. But his will also seeks to destroy us.

What if we don't? And we resent every unwanted situation that we attract to ourselves. Then what? Are we aligned with the possibilities to create a new way of thinking, transformation and healing for ourselves?

How can we? When we are wasting and using our energy to fight with our challenges rather than accepting them so that we can learn and grow.

Weather we accept this or Not we are growing through every experience in this life. So why Not or why yes make it easier by being present with each obstacle and see it for what it is.

Can we say we can see it, perceive it and interpret it in such a way that we can handle with care? Can we possibly handle our challenges the way we care for our loved ones, pets, plants, homes, business and others?

We love to love and pay specific attention to our loved ones. Even when we watch beautiful people on television and in the papers we love to pay special attention to them.

And when it's time for us to grow through a specific event in our lives we do everything in our
power to distract and avoid handling it with care.

Why is it that we neglect what is obviously a change or a transformational period in our lives?

Is it because we keep ourselves busy with other things such as over eating, shopping, consuming excessive alcohol, gossiping, smoking whatever we can smoke and abuse our sexuality through all this process?

To say that challenges are destructive is truly misleading. As we surely know that everything else that we think, do and say that is contrary to the resolution of our problems and challenges is destructive in the long run.

So what to do? Can you possibly take time out of your busy schedule today and really be present with your challenge and make amends with it. I invite you to sit with your challenge today and see what it's really here to teach you. Believe it when I say that you will be practicing Self-love by doing so. You will learn more about yourself and you shall slowly overcome your unwanted habits of running away from your problems, blocks, obstacles and challenges.

What Do You Believe In ?

You want to prosper me (Proverbs 28:35)

Your Word is power, (Hebrews 1:3) 
It created the world as we know it. (Hebrews 11:3)

Prayer is a way for all of us to communicate to God. We children's of god use prayer to get help from God. Prayer is also a way to thank god for the wonderful life he gave to us. How to pray? To pray one can close his eyes and communicate with god through mind talk. If we see prayer as a simple interaction with god then we can say prayer is similar to sharing our feeling and emotion with our best friend.Prayer has urgent significance in our lives. When we communicate with someone every day we tend to get closer with that person. By praying to god, we can get nearer to Him. When we pray daily, we can communicate with Almighty God and leave time for Him in our life. It provides help in leading our life through a less complicated road.Joseph Murphy, a divine science minister and author explains that prayer is a synchronized, congenial, and intelligent function of the conscious and subconscious levels of mind specifically directed for a definite purpose. The majority try and visualise and affirm what they need for an instant, but then they spend the rest of their life undoing this creation by troubling and doubting. Jesus announces "If anyone announces to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and doesn't doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will occur, it's going to be done for him. " if you're unsure that your visualisation and affirmation would happen, then it can never be achieved because the messages you send out are controversial. When your needs and imagination are in conflict, your inventiveness invariably wins.If there's a situation where you have no results from praying and you just can't think of another solution that you could find, then let me suggest you the best action to be taken. You do not need to try harder, you want to relax! the general public who struggle in such circumstances are simply too uptight about making their goals come true . A stressed-out state of mind delays Problems being deciphered. This is the reason why many Christians get answers to their prayers during soaking prayers, where they stop trying too desperately to get answers and allow their sub-conscious mind to clear up their Problems.
